On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Otay Ranch Senior High School standout Vivi Vargas’ current college team, the Canisius Golden Griffins, lost 8-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the East Carolina Pirates.

The game took place at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Pirates this season.

The Golden Griffins’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 9:05 a.m. at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium against Loyola Ramblers.
