On Friday, Feb. 14, former Otay Ranch Senior High School standout Vivi Vargas’ current college team, the Canisius Golden Griffins, lost 18-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the USC Upstate Spartans.

The game took place at Cyrill Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Upstate Spartans this season.

The Golden Griffins’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16 at 3:15 p.m. at Cyrill Stadium against USC Upstate Spartans.
