On Sunday, Feb. 2, former Otay Ranch Senior High School standout Octavio Mendivil’s current college team, the Ouachita Baptist Tigers, lost 5-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Missouri State Lions.

The game took place at Majestic Park. This was their first matchup against the Lions this season.

The Tigers’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. at Rab Rodgers Field against Augustana Vikings.
