The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) visited Selecta Seafoods, Inc. in Chula Vista on April 10 to inspect for foodborne biological hazards, according to data posted on the FDA’s website.
The inspection’s final report found that Selecta Seafoods, Inc. did not need to make any changes to its management operations.
The FDA regularly inspects facilities nationwide to assess compliance with agency laws and regulations aimed at protecting public health. Results from these inspections are made available to the public.
According to its website, the FDA is a federal agency responsible for overseeing the safety and quality of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical supplies and tobacco products.
