On Monday, March 3, former Eastlake High School standout Jake Cekander’s current college team, the Dubuque Spartans, won 8-5 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Dominican Stars.

The game took place at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex. This was their first matchup against the Stars this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5 at 10:15 a.m. at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex against Concordia Moorhead Cobbers.
